How to Mute Friends on Instagram

We all are well aware of this trendy thing called "Instagram.' All the kids and adults are now into it. Instagram is basically a social networking app made for sharing videos and photos through a Smartphone. Everyone with an Instagram account has a profile and news feed. Whenever you post a video or photo on Instagram, it will be displayed on your profile. Other users who are your followers will see your posts in their news feed. It is a more simplified version of Facebook.
Instagram is freely available on iOS and Android. Instagram provides us with much useful information- we can see our friend’s stories and can show them on our own. Uses of Instagram are innumerable. Unlike Facebook, where if we block or unfriend someone, it will be clearly visible to them. We are all blessed with that one annoying friend who keeps on poking his nose everywhere. How can we manage not to see him/her? Recently Instagram has announced that you will soon gain the ability to mute other users. The user's photos and the story will no longer show up in your newsfeed, but other users will be able to see it. You still follow them though. Muting an account is especially useful if you don't want to hurt anyone - a relative or a friend by unfollowing them, but tolerating is equally tricky. We can mute anyone by following these simple steps;  

• Tap on the three-dot icon at the top right corner of their post.

• A list of options will show up.

• One of it will show "MUTE."

• You will then be having an option to mute only photos, posts, only story posts or both.

  You also can mute someone by visiting their profile or with a long press on a story.
